Taikan studied painting with Tenshin Okakura and Gahō Hashimoto at the Tōkyō School of Fine Arts. He developed his own style of painting which incorporated European painting techniques. Ten of Taikan’s paintings of flowers and (or) birds are shown in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it.
